I write a subscribers-only version of this newsletter — posts started last week! — and this week’s will be on this immersive “radio” play, Nightnight, by the playwright Lucas Hnath, whom I first encountered when I wrote about his play The Christians for Christianity Today. This one is about … well, here’s the description:
An astronaut goes to space. He can’t sleep. He can’t tell anyone. He can’t go home. He’s lonely. He doesn’t want to leave. He’s in trouble. NIGHTNIGHT takes the audience into mission control and into outer space to overhear ordinary workplace conflict in an extraordinary environment.
