A trio of delights

Just some stuff to check out, if you want. Or not. I'm not the boss of you.

Just three tidbits for your week:

• I wrote a list of four surprisingly clear-eyed and hopeful movies, all streamable on major platforms.

• I have started reading Rumaan Alam’s new novel Leave the World Behind — well, listening to it, same difference — and I haven’t finished it yet. But it’s very engrossing!!

• The Pulitzer finalist Broadway play Heroes of the Fourth Turning is returning! This time for free. There are five live-streamed performances with the original cast this week, Wednesday through Saturday, and you’d be crazy to miss it. Here’s where you can get a ticket.
